String Theory
Role: Concept, animator, compositor, and editor.
For this project I taught myself how to navigate through SideFX's notoriously intimidating 3D program, Houdini, to create procedural animation for this title sequence. I've only dipped my toes in this vast ocean of a program but it's pretty clear how it's the ultimate problem-solving toolbox despite it's steep learning curve.
I love It's node based approach which enables rapid prototyping of complex environments.
Since procedural animation in conjunction with machine learning and AI is where we are headed, I believe continuing to learn this program is extremely important to stay ahead of the curve.
